Common Questions

Storage Building FAQs

Everything you need to know about buying a wood or metal storage building in Canton and across Stark County — sizing, pricing, delivery, and setup.

What size storage building do I need?

Most homeowners start with a 10×12 or 10×16 for lawn equipment and seasonal storage, while 12×24 and larger suit workshops, riding mowers, or small vehicles. Bring a list of what you plan to store and we'll size it with room to spare. We build custom dimensions, so you're never locked into a stock footprint.

Should I choose a wood or metal building?

Choose wood for a classic look, easy customization, and shelving or workbenches anchored to the walls — ideal for sheds, workshops, and backyard studios. Choose metal for maximum durability, low maintenance, and wide spans for vehicles, equipment, or carports. Both are engineer-certified and American-made; tell us how you'll use it and we'll point you to the right fit.

How much do buildings cost and what payment options do you offer?

Pricing depends on size, materials, and options, so the surest way to get an exact figure is a free quote. We keep payment flexible with several options: cash, check, local bank financing, or rent-to-own. Tell us your budget and timeframe and we'll walk you through the plan that fits your situation best.

Do you deliver to my area?

In most cases, yes — give us a call and we'll confirm delivery to your specific location. Some of our buildings include local delivery right in the price, while others have a delivery charge added on depending on the distance. Either way, we'll go over the details with you upfront so there are no surprises.

How does delivery and setup work?

After you order, we schedule a delivery window and bring the finished building to your property on our own equipment. We level it on blocks or anchors as needed and position it exactly where you want it — usually in a single visit. You don't need to pour a slab; we set up on most surfaces.

How long will it take to get my building?

Most standard buildings are ready within about 4–6 weeks, though the exact timeline depends on how full the build schedule is and any custom options you choose. In-stock buildings already on the lot can often be delivered much sooner. When you request a quote, we'll give you a realistic timeframe for your specific building.

Do I need a permit or zoning approval for my building?

Permit and zoning rules vary by city and township, so check with your local zoning office before you buy — requirements can differ quite a bit from one community to the next. Many smaller sheds need no permit, while larger buildings often do. We don't pull permits, but we'll gladly provide dimensions for your application.

Do I need to prepare the ground or a gravel pad before delivery?

No — in most cases you don't need a gravel pad or concrete slab. We can set your building on most any surface using leveling blocks, or specialty anchors for larger structures. A reasonably level spot helps, but we handle the leveling on delivery day. If you'd prefer a gravel base, we're glad to advise on it.

Is delivery included in the price?

It depends on the building. Some include local delivery in the listed price, while others add a delivery charge based on distance — either way, we tell you upfront before you commit, with no surprises. Not sure which applies to your building? Give us a call and we'll confirm the delivery cost for you.

What if there's a fence or tight access to my yard?

As long as you have an opening wide enough for us to get the building through, we can in most cases maneuver a prebuilt building into place. If access is tight, we also offer build-on-site options. One note: if you're financing or renting to own, there must be an access point large enough for us to retrieve it if ever needed.

Are your buildings engineer-certified and American-made?

Yes. Our wood and metal buildings are engineer-certified and built in America to hold up to Ohio weather — heavy snow loads, wind, and temperature swings. Certification means the structure meets defined strength standards, which can also matter for permits and insurance. Ask us for the specs on any building you're considering and we'll share them.
